Serratiopeptidase  is a centrally acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions. It deactivates plasmin inhibitors,hydrolyses pain mediators like bradykinin, histamine, etc,accelerates liquefaction & elimination of sputum, pus & haematoma,reduces inflammation and improves microcirculation.It helps the body to breakdown pus & debris of dead microbes & thus increases penetration of antibiotics at the site of infection.

On oral administration, it is almost totally absorbed from G.I. tract. It binds to alpha-2 macroglobulin in the blood and has an enzyme activity in the blood circulation. It shows a steep rise in concentration at the site of injury and inflammation.Metabolism takes place in liver and the metabolites are excreted through urine and faeces.

INDICATIONS 

• Post-Operative oedema, haematoma in arthritis,sports injuries.

• Periodontitis,gingivitis,alveolar,absccess,after tooth extraction.

• Engorgement of breast,episiotomy,salpingitis,vaginitis, P.I.D, hysterectomy,septic abortion.

• Inadequate expectoration of sputum,bronchitis,sinusitis,otitis media.

• Inflammation after surgery,injury,acute pain & inflammatory conditions.

DOSAGE

1 tablet thrice a day before meals

CONTRAINDICATIONS

No contraindications , but to be used with caution in pregnancy and lactation.
