COMPOSITION |
Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions.

Site of Action: Root of the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain. It inhibits multi synaptic reflex area involved in producing skeletal muscle spasm. (Skeletal muscle spasm leads to increased contractions of skeletal muscle leading to painful inflammatory condition)

Chlozoxazone is reported to be completely absorbed after oral administration and distributed throughout the body. The peak plasma concentrations are achieved after 1 to 2 hours. It is rapidly metabolized in the liver, mainly to 6-hydroxy chlorzoxazone, and excreted in the urine primarily as the glucuronide.

Rationale of combination of Diclofenac Potassium, Paracetamol & Chlorzoxazone in DOLOCIDE MR

Diclofenac Potassium & Paracetamol have good analgesic, antipyretic & anti-inflammatory actions while Chlorzoxazone is good skeletal muscle relaxant. Thus complete control of pain, spasm & inflammation is achieved.
