COMPOSITION

Each film coated tablet contains:
Diclofenac Potassium B.P. 50 mg
Paracetamol IP 650 mg

Both Diclofenac Potassium & Paracetamol are NSAIDs which inhibit cyclo-oxygenase enzyme, responsible for formation of prostaglandins. Thus both Diclofenac Potassium & Paracetamol in DOLOCIDE KP have "synergistic" actions as Analgesic, Antipyretic & Anti-inflammatory agents.  

Diclofenac  Potassium is well absorbed orally, 99% protein bound, distributed throughout the body fluids, metabolized in liver and excreted in both urine and bile. The plasma t1/2 is nearly 2 hours.

Paracetamol is well absorbed orally, only about 1/3rd is protein bound in plasma and uniformly distributed in the body. Paracetamol is conjugated with glucuronic acid sulfate and is excreted rapidly in urine. Plasma t1/2 is 2-3 hours. Effects, after an oral dose, last for 3-5 hours.

Diclofenac Potassium in DOLOCIDE KP is a time tested prompt acting analgesic with anti-inflammatory & anti-pyretic actions & Paracetamol in DOLOCIDE KP is a time tested antipyretic with analgesic & anti-inflammatory actions.Thus DOLOCIDE KP contains time tested analgesic, antipyretic with both having anti-inflammatory actions too.

INDICATIONS

Painful inflammatory conditions mentioned in DOLOCIDE K with pyresis.

DOSAGE
1 tablet 3 times daily.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Peptic ulcer, hypersensitivity with Acety salicylic acid & prostaglandin synthetase.
