COMPOSITION  
Each film coated tablet contains:
Serratiopeptidase (20,000 units) 10 mg
Diclofenac Potassium B.P. 50 mg

Serratiopeptidase  is a centrally acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions. It deactivates plasmin inhibitors,hydrolyses pain mediators like bradykinin, histamine, etc,accelerates liquefaction & elimination of sputum, pus & haematoma,reduces inflammation and improves microcirculation.It helps the body to breakdown pus & debris of dead microbes & thus increases penetration of antibiotics at the site of infection.

On oral administration, it is almost totally absorbed from G.I. tract. It binds to alpha-2 macroglobulin in the blood and has an enzyme activity in the blood circulation. It shows a steep rise in concentration at the site of injury and inflammation. Metabolism takes place in liver and the metabolites are excreted through urine and faeces.          

Archidonic  Acid in presence of cyclo-Oxygenase it tranformed to Prostaglandins which causes inflammation and leads to pyrexia and pain. There are 2 types of Cyclo-Oxygenase (COX) enzymes, COX-1 & COX-2. COX-1 is a friendly enzyme and COX-2 is a destructive enzyme which produce Prostaglandins which are harmful for the body.        

Diclofenac inhibits COX-2 rather than COX-1 & hence it is safe.  It is well absorbed orally, 99% protein bound, distributed throughout the body fluids, metabolized in liver and excreted in both urine and bile. The plasma half life is nearly 2 hours.

Therefore the combination of Serratiopeptidase & Diclofenac Potassium in DISER takes care of Pain & Inflammation.

DOSAGE
1 tablet thrice a day after meals.
