L-Ornithine : L-Ornithine present in BIOHEP acts on urea cycle. L-Ornithine acts as an activator of ornithine-carbamyl transferase and carbamyl phosphate synthetase. L-Ornithine acts as a substrate for urea genesis. Thus eliminates ammonia from blood.

L-Aspartate : L-Aspartate present in BIOHEP acts on Tricarboxylic Citric Acid cycle. L-Aspartate serves as a stimulus for hepatic glutamine synthesis in the perivenous scavenge cells, which may be defective in acute and chronic liver disease.
