COMPOSITION

                  Each 3 ml nebuliser solution contains:

                  Salbutamol Sulphate I.P. eqv. to Salbutamol 2.5 mg
                  in normal Saline solution

Bronchial Asthma is characterized  by Hyper-responsiveness of  tracheo-bronchial smooth muscle to variety of stimulation. This results in narrowing of air tubes accompanied by secretion & mucosal edema. Asthma is now recognized to be an inflammatory condition i.e.inflammation underlying hyper reactivity.

Allergens, infection, irritants, pollution, exercise, exposure to cold air, psychogenic

SALSOL stimulates b2 receptors present at bronchial smooth muscle cells.This leads to activations of certain enzymes such as adenyl cyclase  and protein This is  release to smooth muscle relaxation and symptomatic relief from bronchial asthma 

Following inhalation the onset of action is 5-15 minutes and action lasts for 3-6 hours.SALSOL is absorbed gradually from bronchi after inhalation and a fraction of this dose is absorbed from G.I.T.
SALSOL is well distributed in the body and is metabolized in intestinal wall & liver.The drug and its metabolites are rapidly excreted in urine & fetus.

Chronic Asthma & Bronchitis

1 ampoule S.O.S.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Patients sensitive to sympathomimetics & sensitive to sulfites. Can cause 

teratogenesis in the developing fetus.
